In the void between second year and third year we were set a project entitled “Un…” and given this sentence to respond to:
“Unravel this unbelievable undertaking understanding that underachievement is unacceptable.”
I chose to base my project around the word “unbelievable” and so looked into mythological creatures, specifically those from Japanese culture. Working from a list of round about 300 legendary creatures (taken from Japanese folklore, mythology, literature and art), I chose between 10 and 15 to illustrate. I then brought together my favourite 12 images in a Japanese-style bound book.
As I’m not technically-minded and cannot figure how to create the book as some sort of pdf for y’all to browse through on here, I will just post some of the images I feel were most successful from the book.
